There is a large number of hotels available in Dortmund, many of which are within walking distance of the conference venue (Harenberg City Center, Königswall 21, Dortmund). Some conveniently located hotels are marked on the map above:
There are a number of rooms reserved at a special fixed rate at the Mercure Hotel. If you are interested in reserving a room there please indicate that when you register for the conference.
There are numerous restaurants close to Markt as well as between Reinoldkirche and Friedensplatz.
There is also a food court on the top floor of the Thier Galerie shopping mall, entries are located on Westenhellweg to the west of the subway station Kampstr. and next to the Hövels Hausbrauerei. Along Westenhellweg and Brückstr. (close to Reinoldikirche) there are also several fast food restaurants and stands.

The conference dinner is going to be on the evening (7.30pm) of Tuesday, June 3rd at the Hövels Hausbrauerei, Hoher Wall 5. The location is also marked on the map. It is within walking distance of the conference venue and most hotels.
There are going to be a limited number of internet terminals at the conference venue. Wifi will not be available. The public municipal library offers free desk space and Wifi as well as for-pay access to internet terminals. It is located directly next to the main station, also marked on the map.
Dortmund has an extensive subway system (Stadtbahn) as well as buses and regional trains connecting commuter train stations. Tickets can be purchased at ticket vending machines located in subway stations, train stations or from bus drivers. A single trip within Dortmund is € 2.40 (fare level Preisstufe A). Don't forget to invalidate your ticket before boarding the subway train.

The subway operates between 06.00 and 24.00. Subway trains run on a 10 minutes schedule on weekdays and a 15 minutes schedule in the evening and on Sunday.
